The true Gospel is hard to believe, because it requires one to “deny himself, take up his cross and follow [Christ]” Matt. It was written in the s and very much draws on the USA If more so called “Christian Books” were written as well as this one, there would be more people reading Christian literature and therefore more people understanding the costs of coming to Christ in a real and personal way.

Amazing book so far.

Hard to Believe: The High Cost and Infinite Value of Following Jesus by John F. MacArthur Jr.
Faith in Him demands a willingness to make any sacrifice He asks. This book will break it down and reveal the truth. This is the first book I’ve read by Mr. I’m not always crazy about MacArthur’s writing style this book was essentially someone compiling his sermon notes I believe I always appreciate the candor and courage he has in dealing with subjects that many seem afraid to touch in popular Christian circles.
This book gave a really good foundation of libo Gospel in light of the decision theology rampant in today’s church. But Jesus Christ isn’t a personal genie. There are no discussion topics on this book yet. MacArthur mentioned it very early in this book.

If I had one word to describe this book it would An outstanding book that lays the gospel out on the line without pulling any punches whatsoever.
Difícil de Creer by John F. MacArthur on Apple Books
MacArthur tells us in no uncertain terms I personally recommend this book. We must get away from the “easy believism” that is so prominent today, but would not be found on the lips of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mcarthur makes no excuses and with his foundation steeped in scripture, he gives macartuhr to identifying true followers of Christ and biblical perspective on false faiths. Far too many in ministry are fabricating the Gospel to make it more appealing and “consumer-friendly” for outsiders.
I most definitely recommend it! Not for lack of evidence, but the content is hard to grapple with. If I had one word to describe this book it would be: MacArthur didn’t come up with the concept of “election” so no hostility ought to be flung his way for inventing it.
